FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY FOR ADVERTISING, RETAIL AND PACKAGING
I love good food, and that’s exactly how I photograph it. Light, texture and the right moment – when it all comes together, just looking at it makes you hungry.

TEAM
Every image is teamwork – with food stylists I have known for years, in the studio in Hamburg or on location.

STYLING
On set, styling makes the difference
For more than 20 years I have been photographing for brands, agencies and retail. A food image is always teamwork – which is why I work with food stylists I have known and trusted for years. We are well-rehearsed, fast and share the same standard: the food has to look as good as it tastes. My love of food is in every image. In the studio in Hamburg or wherever the product comes from.
USE
From recipe to poster
-
Recipe images for Kerrygold.
-
Almette varieties on fresh bread.
-
Fruit, vegetables and meat for Kaufland’s “Jest fresz”, plus entire national cuisines.
-
And the food images for the Nutella (Ferrero) poster campaign.
From the first idea to the finished image I’m involved – in close coordination with art direction and client.
FOOD AND FILM
Food and film on the same set
When stills are shot alongside a commercial, food stills and key visuals are created on the same set – with the same styling, in the look of the film. More under Set photography.

Briefing and moodboard, then food styling and the shoot in the studio or on location – followed by image selection and editing.
Yes, always. I work with food stylists I have known for years – for each project with the team that fits best.
It depends on the motifs, styling, location and usage rights. After a short briefing you get a quote.
Yes, across Germany and internationally. For Lidl, for example, I spent three weeks in South Africa photographing fruit and vegetables right on the plantations.
